fun plus bun

George Canyon is some kind of Nova Scotian Cunt-ry super star.  He’s won numerous Junos and I was lucky (?) enough to be making a cameo in his most recent vid.

I can’t say it’s my proudest moment, but it definitely was an odd one.   The video has sparked an interesting debate over the integrity of Canada’s country music singers which you can read in the Youtube comments.  For a Youtube debate, I’m surprised by the eloquence and care these fans have put in.

Price tag? $9.99

Luc Normandin – Potato Celebrities

Luc’s pics showed up in my inbox today via the Spraygraphic newsletter that I get every few weeks. Hailing from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, just outside of Montreal, Luc must be very familiar with potatoes. I’m surprised he has not included poutine in any of his portraits. Perhaps it would not be ironic enough, as poutine far pre-dates the tuber-based snacks his historical heads are munching on.

Barbara Hulanicki – Flocked Wallpaper

If I had the cash to fork out for wallpaper, FLOCKED wallpaper no less, I would pop pills all day and rub up like a kitten against this stuff.  My fetish for flocked fabric is only second to my love for linen.  Celebrated fashion designer, and founder of Biba, Barbara Hulanicki will be showcasing her new patterns designed for Graham & Brown at Toronto’s Interior Design Show (IDS) which kicks off this Thursday.    Hulanicki will also be giving an exclusive lecture on Saturday afternoon at 4pm.
